Description
Orange Springtails (Yuukianura Aphoruroides) are a newer hexapod species to the isopod and springtail-keeping hobby. They are roughly 4mm long are believed to have originated in Asia. These little guys are rotund, brightly colored hexapods and are lovingly called “dirt Cheetos” or “dirt gummies”. Many hobbyists keep these arthropods for their own viewing pleasure much like the ant farms. They are also a good addition to a bioactive clean-up crew. They are bigger than “normal springtails” and are not as fast moving or jumpy.
